WETechAlliance Partners with Future Skills Centre on Quality of Work Research

In November 2021, the Future Skills Centre (FSC) launched an Open Call for Expression of Interest for research initiatives that focus on better understanding different aspects of Quality of Work, as well as addressing key gaps in policy and practice related to quality of work issues in the Canadian context.

We are pleased to share that WETechAlliance, alongside Workplace Innovation Network for Canada, are among 17 national organizations across Canada who will be working in collaboration with FSC to better define, understand and measure the levels of Quality of Work in our economy. From salary to job security to professional growth potential, Quality of Work is an important aspect of labour markets, including for career choices and HR strategies

About the WETechAlliance Project 

Working alongside research partners at Workplace Innovation Network for Canada, the project is a partnership between experts in Applied Research and four leading organizations who are advancing Workplace Practice and Policy (one pan-Canadian, three regional). Together we will analyze and adapt the research base on Workplace Innovation for Quality of Work – mainly from Europe– to support more innovative, engaging and inclusive workplaces in Canada. Our four Field Test sites will engage their regional and pan-Canadian workplace partners in proof-of-concept evaluation of the scope, relevance and applicability of this initial Research Synthesis and Adaptation Guidelines for Canada. The Research team will then revise and expand the Research Synthesis and Adaptation Guidelines for wider dissemination, while our organizational partners apply the results with regional and sector stakeholders and share with peers in their networks of innovation centres, Human Resources councils and higher education institutions.
