The Peak 2024 Emerging Leader in Entrepreneurship

WETechAlliance is thrilled to announce that our esteemed team member, Adam Castle, Director of Ventures Services has been named to The Peak’s prestigious 2024 Class of Emerging Leaders. This annual list celebrates the achievements of Canadians under 40 who are making significant contributions to their fields.

Adam has been honored in the Entrepreneurship category, recognizing his remarkable impact and innovation in the entrepreneurial landscape. The selection process for The Peak involves choosing over 100 individuals from 15 varied categories by a committee of industry-specific experts. The criteria for this selection, focusing on impact, innovation, potential, among others, emphasize the significance of Adam’s achievement.

The Peak’s Emerging Leaders list spans various sectors, including Food, Drink, and Consumer Products; Healthcare; Artificial Intelligence; Legal Tech; Social Impact; Finance and Investing; Politics and Government; Sales; Marketing and Advertising; Media and Entertainment; Sports Industry; Entrepreneurship; and People and Culture, highlighting the diverse talents shaping our future.Entertainment; Sports Industry; Entrepreneurship; and People and Culture.

On being named to this illustrious list, Adam expressed his gratitude and excitement:

“I am so humbled and honored to receive this recognition, and am so proud to bring attention to the work we’re doing here in Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent. When I started my economic development career over 10 years ago, the prevailing idea was that if you wanted to build something cool and unique, you had to do so in Toronto, or San Francisco, or Waterloo. In the decade since, a tremendously passionate team has been hard at work on the ground here making connections between industry, entrepreneurs, and the global startup ecosystem, to prove to founders that we can collectively shift our mentality from “I have to build it somewhere else” to “I can’t build it anywhere but here.” We are a region of makers and growers, and it is so exciting to be on the forefront of an evolution that is taking our core strengths and applying them to technologies and innovations in ways we’ve never dreamed imaginable before.”

Alongside Adam Castle, this year’s list also recognizes a number of other leaders with regional connections including Nour Hachem of Build A Dream, Natasha Feghali of Feghali Group, Leah Harris of Leah Harris Music LLC., and Chris Colasanti and Brendan Woodfull of Rocket Mortgage Canada.

Regional alumni of The Peak’s Emerging Leaders awards include community and industry leaders such as Yvonne Pilon (Class of 2022), Bekim Merdita (Class of 2023), and Curtis Laurie (Class of 2023).
