Here are the tech events you need to know about for June.
The streets of Toronto will be filled this June with lanyards and badges as Collision — North America’s fastest-growing tech conference — returns in person at the Enercare Centre. Author Margaret Atwood will be speaking with MaRS CEO Yung Wu on the cultural influence of her work, how writing will evolve in the digital world, and the startup scene (she’s an entrepreneur and investor herself). MaRS ambassadors will also be on the trade floor every day to share why Toronto is the place to be for tech. June 20–23, Enercare Centre
From London to Athens, Stockholm to Sicily, the European market is ready and waiting for your business. But before you expand to the world’s second-largest economy, MaRS and Export Development Canada will dish on everything you need to develop your go-to-market strategy. Join them for Startup Expansion: Develop Your Go-to-market Strategy for European Markets to learn more and to hear first-hand experiences from entrepreneurs who’ve been there and succeeded. June 7, online
Montreal-based QueerTech is celebrating the launch of its Toronto chapter with PrideHacks. The hackathon is designed to bring Toronto’s tech ecosystem together to design and build solutions for non-profit organizations that serve the 2SLGBTQ+ community. PrideHacks is an inclusive event and welcomes everyone from the 2SLGBTQ+ community, and allies looking to put their skills to work. Kick off the hackathon with their launch event at Wealthsimple’s 80 Spadina Ave office. June 17, Wealthsimple headquarters
LatAm Startups’ 9th annual conference returns to Toronto for a day of speakers, sessions, and connections with the Latin American startup community.
