TechAlliance welcomes Aman Samra, Generation Hustle podcast host and fractional CFO, as new Startup Advisor

As TechAlliance continues to walk beside Southwestern Ontario’s most promising ventures with support, engagement, and a whole lot of joy, we are elated to welcome an accomplished new team member, Aman Samra as a Startup Advisor. Powered by an entrepreneurial spirit and a knack for foundational business finance and advisory, Samra understands deeply the processes and hardships within founder life. This understanding will proudly bring a scrappy startup spirit to even more entrepreneurs and ventures in Southwestern Ontario. Boasting accolades that range in areas of expertise, Samra will be working alongside diverse ventures and local innovators to foster growth and success within our region. 

Aman Samra has a long career history in growing ventures, with a specialty in finance and a thorough understanding of the entrepreneurial journey. With a business education, he has a passion to help actualize and connect with entrepreneurship in creative and game-changing ways.

Having experienced ventures from every angle, Samra’s career has taken him to work in finance roles with tech clients of all sizes. Through his past positions at BioConnect and Sampler, he has led processes for  Series A, FedDev funding, and Series B funding for scaling ventures. Supporting operations and finance functions, Samra designed company KPI’s and led monthly sessions on performance, trajectory, and strategy.  

Continuing his involvement and investment in the lives of founders and entrepreneurs, Samra is the creator, operator, and co-host of a tech-based podcast called Generation Hustle, highlighting real-life founder stories to humanize and normalize the ups and downs of entrepreneurship. Generation Hustle focuses on sharing the stories of today’s hustlers and business owners making an impact in their industries, weaving a narrative journey about innovators, entrepreneurs, and idealists, and the movements that they have built. With community connection at the forefront of his focus, the Generation Hustle podcast recently launched the #smallbizfightback campaign to highlight and promote Ontario small businesses during the challenging times and detrimental impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic. His well-rounded experience with ventures and wholesome connection to what it truly means to be a founder will allow him to thrive as TechAlliance’s new Startup Advisor, working directly with ventures and their goals to help them grow. 

“If I can enable someone within the ecosystem to grow their venture, that is all I need to be happy. At the end of the day, my motivation to be a part of the TechAlliance team is to help founders get to the next stage, whether it’s through my network, experience, or knowledge,” says Samra, “I’m excited to see founders through to the next level of their careers.”
