The RIF grant program supports Northwestern Ontario towns and Indigenous communities with a population less than 3000 in adopting innovative approaches to identified gaps within their communities. Communities and entrepreneurs can apply. Eligible projects can include housing, food security, energy sustainability, information technology (IT), industry development/entrepreneurial development, and project feasibility studies.
