NWAC-NNAP: A NATIONAL APPRENTICESHIPS PROGRAM CREATED FOR CANADA’S UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES

Developed by the Native Women’s Association of Canada (NWAC), with funding from the Government of Canada’s Apprenticeship Service, the National Apprenticeships Program (NAP) connects businesses with Indigenous women, Two Spirit, transgender, and gender-diverse people seeking apprenticeships in the skilled trades.

Why use NWAC’s NAP?

  • Build economic resiliency in underserved communities
  • Get access to an exclusive job board to post and/or apply for apprenticeship positions
  • Receive a $10,000 grant incentive per position, up to $20,000 annually, to hire first-year Red Seal Apprentices
  • Find apprenticeship opportunities with businesses that prioritize diversity and inclusion
