Kelowna, BC. (February 16, 2021) - RainStick Shower, the Canadian clean technology company revolutionizing the water technology space, was awarded the “Best of KBIS” 2022 Impact Award Winner and received first place in the KBIS Kickstarter Awards for their circular shower technology, during the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) which took place last week in Orlando, Florida from February 8-10, 2022.
Launched earlier this year, Rainstick is North America’s first WiFi- enabled circular shower that saves 80 percent water and up to 80 percent energy while maintaining almost twice the flow rate compared to a traditional low-flow shower. The unit starts with fresh grid-supplied water; however, instead of going down the drain, RainStick uses proprietary recirculation technology to capture, circulate, and clean the water, all in real-time to avoid waste. Its three-stage process removes hair and debris, disinfects water, and kills bacteria and viruses through long-life UV-LED technology. Users can also download the RainStick App on their smartphone to instantaneously see environmental insights, allowing them to track their water usage and energy savings.
Positive feedback from attending designers and specifiers supported the product’s vision to be an important factor in sustainable projects in a connected home.
“The 80 percent water savings without sacrificing on experience, combined with design-forward aesthetics were the most common themes in conversations,” said Alisha McFetridge, CEO and co-founder of RainStick Shower. Designers also brought ideas for exterior applications which supports another popular design trend – outdoor living.
“We’re incredibly pleased to have received this acknowledgement from the Best of KBIS awards program, one of the industry’s most prestigious honours that celebrates the greatest in new product innovation of the year. Receiving these awards further validate RainStick with our customers and has helped us gain fantastic exposure for the brand. We’re on a mission to allow people to shower comfortably without the compromise, guilt, and water waste typically found today with showering,” continued McFetridge. “Our planet needs this technology more than ever, and we look forward to working together with like-minded partners to bring RainStick to market this year.”
The RainStick Shower is now available for limited pre-orders in the North American market. For more information, please visit www.rainstickshower.com.
