Meet TechAlliance’s Startup Advisor, Devin Golets, Founder of Tailwind

Devin Golets is a serial entrepreneur, with a few startups under his belt and a lot of driven passion for the London-area community and its ability to produce incredible innovation. With extensive career coaching in higher education, Golets understands the value of advisory deeply, and his experience allows for a well-rounded focus on growth and connection. His culmination of pitch practice and successes, regional know-how, and true dedication to seeing ventures flourish in Southwestern Ontario positions him as an active and attentive Startup Advisor that we are proud to have joining the TechAlliance team to specialize in coaching early-stage and pre-revenue startups. 

Through his diverse experience and entrepreneurial lens, Devin brings a myriad of specialties to clients, stakeholders, and TechAlliance community members, with an advisory focus in communications, recruiting, sales, pitching, and customer success. Golets’ welcome to the team comes at a time when his current venture, Tailwind, is expanding and growing across Canada, providing mental health resources to high school and post-secondary students, teachers, and parents. Experiencing real-time involvement with B2B enterprise sales through Tailwind’s successful sales and continued growth within Canada’s education ecosystem, Golets brings a tenacity and dedication to the team that will provide likeminded and driven founders with enhanced advisory.

Devin has been a long-standing contributor to Southwestern Ontario’s innovation corridor, connecting with talent and ventures through his long-held position as a Career Councellor at Western University. During this time, he focused heavily on the importance of nuanced and networked connections, pairing student talent with high level startups such as Plan Easy, tbk Creative, and recently acquired Memento (Formerly VidHug). With his entrepreneurial spirit and expertise, Devin will be an integral part of TechAlliance’s continued dedication to the tech and innovation ecosystem and add value to founders and their teams.
