London, Ontario ranks #4 of top emerging tech talent markets in North America

Announcing their annual Scoring Tech Talent 2024 Report, CBRE highlights and recognizes trends and patterns of the top-ranked tech talent markets in North America. For the third year in a row, London, Ontario was ranked in the top emerging tech markets in North America, moving up four spots to #4 from #8 in 2023. 

“The rising importance of technology in business and society has caused a global expansion of tech talent labour pools and implementation of more distributed labour strategies seeking innovation potential and efficiency,” cites CBRE. Canadian markets have experienced tech talent growth, with London boasting an 88.5% increase in total tech growth over 5 years, and 26.7% increase in total tech wage growth over 5 years.  

It comes as no surprise that London landed on CBRE’s Tech Talent Report, for the third consecutive year, this time ranked #4 on North American’s Next 25. After decades of growth, London has what it takes to be one of Canada’s top tech ecosystems, and a global innovation hub.
