BURLINGTON, ON., November 24th, 2022 – On Thursday, Haltech Regional Innovation Centre hosted its 6th annual Hi5 Pitching Competition. Returning in-person for the first time in two years at the Burlington Convention Centre, the competition showcased 5-high potential Haltech clients who pitched their business to a panel of judges for a chance to win a grand prize of $5,000, PLUS complimentary I.P. consultations with Bereskin & Parr valued at over $1,500.
That’s not all, we also let our audience vote to decide who should win the People’s Choice Award which includes a $1,000 cash prize as well as 40 hours of complimentary access to ACE Coworking Oakville.
Hi5 is our signature annual pitch competition. Our goal with Hi5 is to provide our founders and their start-ups with an opportunity to generate awareness for their company and brand, build the skills necessary to present in front of a broad audience and gain exposure to our broad ecosystem of industry partners to form new strategic connections.
Finalists are given 5-minutes to pitch their businesses. After each presentation, the judges are given up to 10 minutes for Q&A.
