During COVID-19, Intelense moved their operations from office to home, pivoting their business to address prevention- and preparedness-based solutions. “We worked with channel and technology partners to expand and build our business,” says Founder and CEO Sailesh Kumar. “Our new product offering assists businesses as they reopen.”    Intelense has expanded their offering to include hotels, restaurants, malls, and retail stores, which have been highly impacted by COVID-19. Their AI engine, KEN, provides video analytics based on client needs. In-built predictive analytics provide users with accurate forecasts on potential health hazards and emergencies, and can even suggest preventative actions.

KEN can help to support customer safety as it relates to government-mandated social distancing and mandatory mask usage. Thermal screening software allows the platform to flag anyone with a high temperature, one of the most common symptoms of COVID-19.     Their AI-enabled self-assessment tools can also help people determine whether they need to be tested for COVID-19, which is crucial for containing the spread of the virus. Self-assessment tools can help mitigate the shortage of self-test kits, and ensure people get tested to prevent community spread.    Intelense is focused on working collectively with clients and partners to enable remote operations with seamless delivery. KEN does not require any additional change to existing infrastructure, making it an immediately deployable solution for businesses that are waiting to re-open.

“We believe in helping people through our technology,” says Kumar. “As part of our outreach program, we are offering these solutions at zero profit.”    One of the remarkable features of Intelene’s platform is that it functions without the use of Facial Recognition. “We believe in people’s right to privacy of the people,” says Kumar. “We’ve built KEN without any component of facial recognition or people identification.”    On top of processing standard videos, KEN can also support visual inputs such as x-rays and ultrasounds. KEN can detect emergencies captured by existing camera systems, and send direct reports to pre-identified stakeholders like Police Services, EMS, or Ambulance Services. The platform enables fast-turnaround on emergency response, which can help save lives.
