Integration specialist InFlight acquired by U.S.-based Skuid

Software integration company InFlight Corp., which has a development office in Kitchener, has been acquired by Skuid of Chattanooga, Tenn. for undisclosed terms.

Founded in St. Catharines in 2013, InFlight integrates older enterprise applications with more current technologies and software to give employees and customers an enhanced user experience.

The company, which has a headquarters address in Easthampton, Mass., opened a development operation – InFlight North – in Kitchener in 2017.

Skuid provides tools to help in-house developers customize off-the-shelf applications for the unique needs of their users.

“This is a game-changer for the future of people operations applications,” Skuid CEO Ryan Niemann said in a news release. “The combined capabilities of Skuid and InFlight present a much-needed solution for enterprises that want to design, create and deliver impactful apps.”

Skuid tools are used to improve employee portals; audit, compliance, and workplace risk apps; recruiting and retention apps; onboarding apps; and time-management and reporting apps, among others.

“The acquisition of InFlight extends the already impressive HR focus of Skuid, adding much deeper integrations with popular human capital management (HCM) enterprise solutions, including Oracle PeopleSoft, Workday, Taleo and SAP SuccessFactor,” the company said.

James La Brash, founder and CEO of InFlight, said his team is “thrilled” to join Skuid.

“InFlight brings unique new integration capabilities to enterprises using Skuid while enhancing our own customer offering with low-code UI-building capability,” he said. “This marks a new era for EX (employee experience) in the HCM market, where enterprises can empower citizen developers and IT teams to quickly and easily improve the digital EX of their existing applications in response to changing employee expectations and market conditions.”
