INNOVATION GUELPH ANNOUNCMENT – NEW CEO
GUELPH, ON December 7, 2021– The Innovation Guelph Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Alison Crumblehulme as incoming CEO, effective January 10, 2022.
Alison has spent most of her 20+ year professional career working with start-ups and as a leader in the innovation, research and development, and business eco-system space. As Founder & CEO of Veriphy Skincare, and currently Chief Operating Officer at Mirexus Biotechnologies, Alison brings extensive leadership and executive experience in all facets of business development, including strategic planning, finance, operations, and human resources. Alison also holds an Executive MBA from Queen’s University.
With a strong reputation as a people-focused, collaborative, and consultative leader,Innovation Guelph’s staff team, mentors, clients, and community partners will be well served under Alison’s leadership.

Alison will replace outgoing CEO Anne Toner Fung who will retire at the end of this year. Under Anne’s leadership, Innovation Guelph has experienced significant growth by listening to entrepreneurs and community partners and offering relevant, responsive programs and services.
Innovation Guelph (IG) is one of 17 Regional Innovation Centres in Ontario. Incorporated in July of 2011, this year IG celebrates 10 years of excellence providing a continuum of care for SMEs from pre-revenue startups to scaling firms with up to $20 million in annual revenue. A deep mentor/industry specialist roster allows IG to provide the expertise clients need when they need it. Wrapped around that direct mentorship is a robust program of education, networking, cohort-based acceleration, seed/pitch funds, and strategic introductions. Regional priority sectors IG focuses on include agri-innovation, life sciences, cleantech, advanced manufacturing and supporting digital technologies.
