For the third consecutive year, prominent organizations smash barriers with Erin Bury on International Women’s Day 2023

On March 8, 2023, TechAlliance of Southwestern Ontario, London Chamber of Commerce, London Economic Development Corporation and Women in Communications and Technology come together for Smashing Barriers — Fostering the Entrepreneurial Mindset, an experience that promotes and celebrates International Women’s Day. An in-person event, featuring keynote, Erin Bury, one of Canada’s top female entrepreneurs, startup fanatic, CEO and Co-Founder of Willful, will inspire us through lived experience as an innovator, empowering women and girls everywhere. In alignment with International Women’s Day 2023 theme, #EmbraceEquity, she will speak about an inclusive mindset, the power of empathy and saluting women’s achievements everywhere.  

The community is invited to gather to collectively imagine a world that embraces equity, inclusion, and diversity, to forge humanity and unity, to drive success for all. Join us to hear Erin speak about the topic of #EmbraceEquity while focusing on a vibrant tech sector and innovation economy throughout all aspects of work, community, and life.   

This year’s International Women’s Day theme aims to drive change through collective activism. From grassroots-level actions to wide-scale momentum, we can all embrace equity and create a space to ensure the social, economic, cultural, and political advancement of women. This “fighting the good fight” isn’t limited to women solely, but rests in the power of the community coming together and uniting to build an inclusive world.
