On July 9, 2025, Toronto, Canada, witnessed the launch of Enabled Talent, an innovative hiring technology platform dedicated to improving employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. This initiative aims to dismantle barriers that have long hindered talented individuals in the workforce, recognizing the significant number of people affected globally—with over 1.3 billion individuals living with disabilities.

Despite their capabilities, many potential employees are excluded from job opportunities due to outdated and inaccessible hiring practices. In Canada, statistics reveal that more than 850,000 working-age individuals with disabilities are either unemployed or underemployed. This situation highlights the pressing need for more inclusive hiring systems.

Amandipp Singh, the Founder & CEO of Enabled Talent, shared his personal experience, stating, “I built Enabled Talent after struggling to access job applications myself.   3. Inclusive Onboarding Tools and DEI Dashboards: Employers can create accessible onboarding processes while tracking their diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.

  4. Bias-Free Screening Tools: Utilizing AI, this tool emphasizes candidates’ skills and compatibility rather than their resumes, thereby reducing unconscious bias in the hiring process.

  5. Multilingual and Globally Adaptable Interface: Designed to meet accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1), ensuring global relevance while respecting cultural differences.

Impact and Growth

During its pilot phase, the platform has gained traction, with over 4,000 users engaging with Enabled Talent’s tools. An impressive 90% satisfaction rate was reported among initial testers of the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) learning platform. Plans are underway to develop partnerships with academic institutions, government agencies, and HR software providers to broaden access and enhance the platform’s reach.

Enabled Talent has ambitions to scale its operations not only in Canada but also across the U.S., Africa, the Gulf region, and Latin America, creating a worldwide network of support for inclusive employment practices.
