Giselle Melo brings a rich background in technology-focused venture capital, specializing particularly in machine learning, applied artificial intelligence, and computer vision. Giselle’s life mission is to instill economic empowerment through entrepreneurship. She is passionate about supporting and advancing Black, Indigenous, and Latin communities through advocacy in STEM and mentorship. Giselle is deeply committed to advocating for STEM education and providing mentorship opportunities to help others thrive in the tech landscape.

In 2017, Giselle co-founded NicheeLabs, an engineering lab that quickly became synonymous with innovation in developing cutting-edge software solutions, machine learning algorithms, and AI-driven applications. Her visionary leadership and dedication to pushing the boundaries of technology led to the lab’s success in delivering impactful solutions across various industries. Building on this foundation, Giselle took on the role of Founder and Managing Partner at Matr Ventures in 2022, where she continues her mission of nurturing and supporting emerging tech and software ventures.

Giselle’s reputation as “The Girl Who Moves Money” is well-earned as a result of her exceptional accomplishments in wealth management. During her tenure as Partner and Head of Investment Banking at Toren & Associates, Giselle orchestrated buy and sell transactions totaling over $5 billion in assets under management (AUM) for wealth managers. Her strategic insights and financial acumen have earned her widespread recognition within the industry.
