Q: What is the biggest challenge you have faced starting your business?
Opening during a global pandemic was hands down the biggest challenge I faced while starting Base & Co. Not only was I learning how to open, start, run & grow a business on my own. I was only open for 2 weeks than had to shut my doors during the 3rd lockdown.
Q: What is the biggest “win” you have experienced as an entrepreneur?
The fact that I opened during a global pandemic and succeeded to grow as a business & individual is the biggest win! I also won best hair salon in Guelph through the Readers Choice Awards while only been open for 6 months in total! I am beyond blessed!!
Q: What is the most important piece of advice you would give to others who are starting their own business?
Do it, follow your passion! I hesitated for so long & I am so lucky that I had the push from my friends and family. You’re never going to feel 100% ready.. as scary and hard it is, it is so worth it as long as you are dedicated and ready to grow!
Q: If you could go back in time, is there anything you would change about your entrepreneurial journey?
To be honest & this may be shocking to some, but no! I had amazing support & mentors going into this. I definitely couldn’t have done it without the help I was able to get.
