Hessie is a seasoned digital strategist, writer, tech geek and data junkie and has spent the last 20 years on the internet in banking, advertising and at various startups in including Yahoo!, OverlayTV, Cerebri, and Better Ethics and Consumer Outcomes Network among others.
Hessie saw things change rapidly when search and social started to change the game for advertising and decided to figure out the way new market dynamics would change corporate environments forever: in process, in culture and in mindset. She launched her own business, ArCompany in social intelligence, AI readiness and research.
Hessie is an advocate for change and through her experience in advertising technology, customer journey analytics, profile and behavioural analytics, Hessie started delving into the potential harms with today’s technologies especially where demand for data increases. She continues to write about data privacy, AI Ethics through Forbes, Towards Data Science and is active in responsible tech communities through MyData, Women in AI Ethics, Technology for Good Canada and All Tech is Human.
As an Innovations Manager, Hessie will provide the necessary support for Altitude Accelerator’s programs including Incubator and Investor Readiness. She will be the liaison among key stakeholders to provide operational support and ultimately drive founder success.
When asked what she is most looking forward to as the new Innovations Manager, Hessie says this:
“I’ve always walked in the shoes of many of these incredible founders who want to change the world. This world needs game-changing solutions for the impending challenges with the environment, data privacy and security and emergence of 5G technology.
There are many lessons to learn from a start-up journey and having been on the other side of the table, I want to make a deeper contribution and provide the necessary support towards helping founders reach their goals and scale their companies.”
