Warframe Launches on Android with Cross-Platform Features

Digital Extremes has officially released Warframe on the Google Play Store, expanding its reach to Android players worldwide. This free sci-fi game immerses players in the role of the Tenno, an ancient warrior caste engaged in battles throughout a vast and evolving universe. The game can be played with others across various platforms, including PC, PlayStation, Xbox, iOS, and Nintendo Switch, providing a seamless Cross Platform Play and Cross Platform Save experience.

Warframe has gained a significant player base, boasting over 85 million registered users since its launch in 2013. Initially starting as an open beta with limited content, the game has undergone vast transformations. Players can now explore 20 planets, embark on over 30 quests, and utilize nearly 65 base Warframes. This evolution reflects the game’s ambition and commitment to expanding its universe.

With the introduction of the game on Android, players can partake in the latest updates, including the record-breaking The Old Peace. Sheldon Carter, President of Digital Extremes, emphasized the importance of accessibility and the team’s excitement in integrating Android players into the game’s community, which is known for its kindness and inclusivity.

Upon downloading and signing into Warframe on Android before March 4, players will be rewarded with the exclusive Cumulus Collection, including unique weapon and armor cosmetics and resource boosters. The game requires devices running on 64-bit Android with ARM64 processors, Android OS 12.0 or higher, and a minimum of 4GB RAM.

Digital Extremes not only champions Warframe’s immersive gameplay but also its welcoming community, which contributes to the game's continuous development and future events like TennoCon. This annual event draws fans to discover what lies ahead for the game. With Warframe continuing to innovate and expand, the studio is also developing a new IP called Soulframe.

Digital Extremes has a long-standing reputation in the gaming industry, with a history stretching back over 30 years, co-creating titles like Unreal and working on projects like Dark Sector and BioShock. The studio emphasizes its commitment to creating engaging gaming experiences, now further enriched by the inclusion of the mobile platform, which is expected to attract new players and expand the Warframe universe.
