Tiny Chips, Major Canadian Impact: Honoring CHIPS Month 2025

ventureLAB, in collaboration with CMC, is thrilled to announce the return of CHIPS Month Canada, scheduled from October 29 to November 29, 2025. In its second iteration, this month-long “Semi-Celebration” aims to spotlight the vital role of semiconductors—small technologies that significantly influence our interconnected world and bolster supply chains through Canadian ingenuity.

CHIPS Month 2025 seeks to unite innovators, companies, and partners nationwide, celebrating Canada’s evolving role in establishing a trusted and resilient semiconductor ecosystem. The month features two main anchor events highlighting Canadian leadership in semiconductor technology: the HardTech Summit hosted by ventureLAB (October 29-30) and the Accelerated: Canada’s Semiconductor Symposium (November 25-26). Between these major conferences, various partner celebrations and company profiles on LinkedIn will showcase the innovators shaping Canada’s semiconductor landscape.

Through these events and activities, CHIPS Month 2025 aims to bring together founders, researchers, and industry leaders dedicated to developing next-generation semiconductor technologies, ensuring a future that is both made and trusted in Canada. Historically, Canadians have been leaders in semiconductor innovation since the inception of integrated circuits, creating world-class technologies and firms across the value chain. However, the Canadian semiconductor industry faces challenges, including a small domestic market and limited capital access. Despite these obstacles, Canadian founders and researchers display exceptional resilience, creativity, and collaboration in driving innovation.
