Ten Startups, One Global Platform: Introducing the Founders Competing at the Startup World Cup Ottawa Regional Competition

On June 11, 2026, the Startup World Cup Ottawa Regional Competition will take place at Lansdowne Park as part of the AccelerateOTT event. This competition features ten innovative founders from Eastern Ontario, primarily from Ottawa, all vying for a share of $50,000 in grant funding and a chance to compete for a $1 million USD prize at the Grand Finale in San Francisco.

2. CanVeer Biopharma is developing a treatment for bronchopulmonary dysplasia, impacting newborns.
3. CardiAxis Medical offers advanced cardiac imaging and treatment planning tools for non-invasive care.
4. Celestra Health Systems is improving neurological gait measurement in healthcare.
5. Constant Health features an AI-driven chronic disease and weight management platform.
6. Kavodax aims to enhance infrastructure for cross-border payments and decentralized finance.
7. Peepal Research focuses on self-healing intelligence systems for complex networks.
8. SamSearch provides an AI-powered platform for government contracting.
9. Stratotegic is innovating autonomous high-altitude balloon systems for monitoring.
10. Taskd develops deterministic AI systems for enterprise decision-making.

The judging panel for the pitches consists of esteemed industry experts:

• Lance Laking, Managing Director at Graphite Ventures, brings extensive venture capital knowledge.
• Katie LeClair, Executive Director of SheBoot, will focus on founder diversity and ecosystem inclusivity.

The competition's winners will receive $50,000 in non-dilutive grant funding, provided by the Government of Canada through FedDev Ontario. The first-place winner will advance to the Startup World Cup Grand Finale in San Francisco, competing against regional champions from over 60 countries for a $1 million USD investment prize.
