myStoria Launches with $1.625M Seed Funding to Transform Patient Care in Reproductive Health
KITCHENER, Ontario — March 31, 2026 — myStoria, a new healthcare platform combining artificial intelligence (AI) with trained professionals, has secured $1.625 million in seed funding. The investment, led by Graphite Ventures with participation from Conexus Venture Capital, Adrenaline Fund, Phoenix Fire Fund, and notable angel investors, aims to fill a critical gap in the healthcare system that places the burden of care coordination on patients.
The Unseen Burden on Patients
When individuals receive a medical diagnosis or specialist referral, they often find themselves thrust into a complex role as their own care coordinator. This encompasses various responsibilities such as managing medical histories, communicating with insurers, and advocating for their care—all without sufficient training or tools. Recognizing this challenge, myStoria has developed the first dedicated platform aimed specifically at supporting patients in this role.
Jessica Chalk, Founder and CEO of myStoria, emphasized that reproductive health has some of the highest dismissal rates and fragmented care among health issues. The funding will enable myStoria to expand its services beyond immediate reproductive health needs, outlining a vision for comprehensive support across various stages of health management. "Now we are building the layer that was always missing from it," Chalk stated.
Allocating the New Funds
The seed funding will be allocated towards three core priorities:
Proprietary Context Engine: This intelligent context layer organizes users’ health data—including documents, audio, photos, and appointment histories—into a structured format that enhances AI comprehension. The funds will help develop this architecture further, expanding it throughout the reproductive health lifecycle and bolstering the curated medical knowledge base. Trained professionals will review AI-generated guidance to ensure clinical accuracy, creating a personalized experience for each user.
Expansion of Reproductive Health Services: The funding will allow myStoria to broaden its focus from fertility issues to include painful periods, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, perimenopause, and hormonal health, establishing condition-specific pathways for support.
Consumer Accessibility: myStoria will launch mobile applications on iOS and Android, utilizing a freemium model to make initial access to AI guidance and health record organization affordable for users.
Investor Insights
Investors believe in myStoria due to its unique approach to complex healthcare challenges. Aaron Bast, a General Partner at Graphite Ventures, highlighted that the issue is more than just an information gap; it's a failure to support patients managing their own care. "By owning the patient’s ‘Whole Story’ of data, they are positioned to become the primary navigation layer for lifelong health management," he stated.
Alex Shimla from Conexus Venture Capital reinforced this sentiment, pointing out that myStoria is addressing the systemic lack of infrastructure in care coordination, making it a potential category-defining company.
A Vision Beyond Reproductive Health
While myStoria initially focuses on reproductive health, its long-term vision extends beyond to address systemic gaps applicable to all health conditions, including cancer and heart disease. The aim is to create a lifelong health partner that users can rely on throughout various health journeys.
myStoria, headquartered in Kitchener, Ontario, positions patients as customers, rather than clinics or insurers, ensuring the infrastructure is designed to support those who are often already managing their health challenges alone.
