FluidAI Medical Announces Acquisition of Emmetros Limited

FluidAI Medical, a leading medical technology company, recently announced its acquisition of Emmetros Limited, the developer behind SparxConnect, a prominent player in patient engagement. This deal aims to enhance FluidAI’s AI-driven patient education and engagement platform, Stream Inara™, which works to extend patient care beyond hospital walls. This marks FluidAI’s second acquisition, following Medsix, and aligns with its growth strategy emphasizing strategic purchases to strengthen its market position and expand its product offerings.

Stream Inara™ is a key element of FluidAI’s Recovery Intelligence and Surgical Excellence (RISE) Program, designed to improve surgical care by facilitating Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols. RISE encompasses the entire surgical journey, featuring tools such as Stream Care™, an AI-assisted surgical expert suite, and the FDA-cleared Origin™ device for patient monitoring. The program aims to provide tailored, data-driven solutions that support each healthcare institution’s clinical objectives.

The primary function of Stream Inara™ is to bridge the gap in surgical care, providing a digital management tool for both pre-surgery and post-discharge phases. The platform enables continuous monitoring of patients after they leave the hospital, gathers patient-reported outcomes, and delivers personalized education and 24/7 support. This helps ensure patients adhere to care plans and recover safely at home, thereby allowing for earlier discharges, which increases patient throughput in hospitals and optimizes bed usage. Clinicians benefit from the confidence that their patients are continuously supported throughout the recovery process.

Mary Pat Hinton, Emmetros CEO and Co-Founder, expressed enthusiasm regarding the acquisition, viewing it as a pivotal moment for Emmetros’ technology and mission. She emphasized that FluidAI's commitment to improving surgical patient outcomes aligns with their goal of enhancing patient care experiences. Youssef Helwa, CEO of FluidAI, echoed this sentiment, highlighting Emmetros’ focus on patient-centric care and innovative solutions that empower both patients and healthcare providers. He stated that this acquisition is a significant stride towards redefining surgical care standards to improve patient outcomes and facilitate safer early discharges post-surgery.

In summary, the acquisition of Emmetros Limited reinforces FluidAI’s commitment to integrating advanced technology into surgical care, particularly through innovative platforms designed to engage and educate patients. By enhancing Stream Inara™, FluidAI seeks to optimize the post-surgery experience and improve patient outcomes, while also addressing healthcare capacity issues in hospitals. This strategic move not only bolsters FluidAI’s product offering but also positions it at the forefront of patient engagement and surgical excellence in the medical technology field.
